This is perfect for my six (O, heavens did I in point of fact say six!) cups of tea a day. Despite boiling and dumping out the water a half-dozen instances, the water itself STILL tasted like "plastic." Ick. As a tea drinker, the quality of the water is vital. Also, I found the general form difficult to deal with, the lid used to be hard to open, and when gently pouring the water it persistently (and dangerously) sloshed out the areas near the spout.
Anyway, I ended up giving this one away and shopping for an additional Bodum electric kettle for the administrative center. It's working nice, similar to the 10-year-old Bodum I take triping. (I think additionally it is fascinating to notice that the traditional, no-frills, usable design of the Bodum has stay unchanged prior to now 10 yrs - Hey, if it ain't broke, do not 'fix' it.
